Blessing of Pets

Celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi

     The Feast of St. Francis is October 4.  Blessing of the Pets is a custom that is conducted in remembrance of Saint Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures. Francis wrote a Canticle of the Creatures, an ode to God’s living things. “All praise to you, Oh Lord, for all these brother and sister creatures.”  

     St. Bernard’s will host a Blessing of Pets on Saturday, October 5 at 1:00pm in honor of St. Francis.  Please gather by the south entrance near the Bell Tower.
